Shelter is shutting down - 85 dogs need home

I received the following from a member:
"I am not sure if everyone has received information on the closing of a shelter in Ft. Lauderdale , but I received a link to this web page this evening from another rescue I work with and am compelled to pass it along. I don?t know all the details, but this web page says it all along with the Herculean efforts put forth from Joe Morweiser and the South Florida Bull Terrier Rescue League. From the statement on the web page, they have been working feverishly all weekend to pull and place as many dogs as they can and there may be as many of 85 large dogs still looking for temporary or permanent foster homes when the shelter is officially shut down on Monday. For those dogs they can?t place, Animal services will take them and then their days are even further numbered. I can?t imagine what Joe and his team have gone through this weekend, but please take a moment to look at the photos and read the statement and then do whatever you can?be it financially, passing the world along, making a donation, finding a way to take one of these dogs in, or helping reach the media to bring these dogs story to the news?..We know the panic and struggles we all go through to place a few dachshunds at a time, please take a moment to think of what these folks are dealing with and trying to accomplish and then do what you can. http://www.jbullterr....
